KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Pakistaninfo-icon embassy on Wednesday rejected a January 20 report in the Afghanistaninfo-icon Times that Islamabad had imposed fresh restrictions on Afghan exports.

The government of Pakistan had not imposed any new restrictions on Afghan exports, the embassy clarified in a statement. It claimed the country continued to facilitate Afghan exports.

The statement added Afghan exports to Pakistan grew by 19 percent in 2019, compared with last year.

The embassy informed the Afghan Commerce Ministry that under Article 21 of APTTAinfo-icon, the transit cargo being transported in containers of international specifications/open trucks had to be secured through tracking devices along with installation of seals.
