KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Sunday said the police chief for central Panjshir province has been dismissed after he failed to confiscate Hassib Qwa-i-Markaz.

Recently a number of Kabul businessmen and shoppers closed their shops, claiming Hassib Qwa-i-Markaz was taking extortion money from them.

Nasrat Rahimi, MoI spokesman, said that Punjshir Police chief had been asked to seal Hassib Qwa-i-Markaz but he failed in this regard.

He said the Panjshir Police chief Mohammad IshaqTamkin did not take action regarding Hassib Qwa-i-Markaz thus he was removed from his position.

He added former deputy police chief Abdul WasiFraji was appointed as Tamkin replacement.

He said the newly police chief has been ordered to confiscate HassibQwa-i-Markaz at the earliest possible.
