GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A man has allegedly burned alive his daughter-in-law in Giru district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Monday.

The district chief, Mohammad Ibrahim Halim, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accused father-in-law and his sons first beat the woman, set her on fire and then buried her remains in the yard of their home in Loydat area.

The victim’s father-in-law, husband and a brother in law were involved in her murder and police had started their efforts to arrest them.

Abdullah, a resident of the area, said the woman was killed three days ago and buried in the yard.

“The entire family is involved in her killing. The girl was married five years ago. Her body was found yesterday,” he added.
