FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Members of the People’s Peace Movement (PPM) on Thursday arrived in northeastern Badakhshan province and attended a gathering here.

Members of the movement told the gathering in Faizabad City, the provincial capital, that the US-Talibaninfo-icon peace talks remained vague, expressing concern that such unclear process could lead to a new crisis.

Mohammad Iqbal, head of the movement, said: “Peace talks between Taliban and US in Qatar are hidden from Afghanistaninfo-icon’s people and we are concerned that it would pave the way for a bloody program in Afghanistan.”

He claimed: “The international community is once again deceiving us because it does not want the Afghanistan system to be based on Islamic and Afghan framework.”

A Traditional Loya Jirgainfo-icon should be called into session to find a solution to the current crisis in the country and pave the way for lasting peace, he suggested.
