KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Kabul Educationinfo-icon Department has launched a campaign titled ‘Education Is Compulsory’ to recruit new students for enrolment in schools, an official said on Saturday.

Education Department Director Syed Aziz Ahmad told a gathering in the Bagrami district that this drive would be extended to other districts as well.

“We want to spread this message to the people in villages who don’t send their children to schools due the lack of womeninfo-icon teachers. People should not deprive their children from education on the bases of these excuses,” he said.

Bagrami District Education Director Mohammad Nazir Atiqi said the campaign should be supported by the local councils so that girls and boys are enrolled in schools.

According to Kabul Education Department currently 329,000 are busy getting education in schools.
