ZARANJ (Pajhwok): While inaugurating a new building for the Educationinfo-icon Department of southwestern Nimroz province here, local officials on Wednesday said 38 new schools would be built in the province next academic year.

Massoud Noori, head of Nimroz Education Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the new building of their department was constructed in 18 months and cost 30 million afghanis.

He said the building has many facilities for workers and public.

Amanullah Elmi, advisor to Nimroz governor, told the inauguration ceremony that there were separate rooms for every section of the Education Department in the new building and officers would no longer face issues during their work.

In the past, each part of the department was stationed in different area and teachers and visitors would face difficulties in processing their documents, he said.

He said four new schools were under construction in Delaram, Kashrod, Chakhansor and Kang districts and would be also completed soon.

Construction of 38 more schools will also start with the beginning of new academic year in the province, Elmi said.
