18 new cases: Afghanistan’s Covid-19 tally hits 299

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Afghanistaninfo-icon’s tally of coronavirus surged to 299 after 18 new positive cases emerged in various parts of the country’s particularly the nation’s capital Kabul.

Nearly a dozen (11) positive cases were detected in Kabul, two in northern Samangan and one each in Balkh, Kunduz, Faryab, Ghazni and Logar provinces., an official said on Saturday.

Dr. WahidullahMayar, advisor to the Ministry of public Healthinfo-icon, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 85 suspicious samples were tested in laboratories in Kabul province, and 18 people tested positive in Kabul, Samangan, Balkh, Kunduz, Faryab, Ghazni and Logar provinces in the past 24 hours.

Earlier, 11 positive cases were registered in Kabul, 2 in Samangan and 1 in Balkh, Kunduz, Faryab, Ghazni and Logar provinces.

Mayar said the total number of coronavirus patients in the country had reached 299.
