KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Five security forces have been killed and four others wounded in a Talibaninfo-icon attack in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Saturday.

The official, requesting bot to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News five army soldiers were killed last night when the militants stormed check-posts in the Saghira area of Imaminfo-icon District.

At least two Afghan National Army soldiers were wounded and three others taken hostage by the attackers, the source said. Taliban also suffered causalities, he added.

Hadi Jamal, deputy spokesman for the 217th Pamir Corps confirmed the overnight clash but declined commenting on casualties.
