4 civilians killed in Ghazni blast; Taliban blamed

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Four civilians have been killed as a result of a landmine explosion in the Jaghatu district of southern Ghazni province, the governor’s office said on Wednesday.

The deaths occurred before dawn at 1.00am when a vehicle carrying civilians was struck by a roadside bomb on the district highway. A statement from the governor’s house said.

The Talibaninfo-icon were accused of planting the explosive device, which killed four civilians.

Meanwhile, resident Imamuddin confirmed the incident, saying the bomb blast took place in Qyaq valley.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
