On Thursday, President Ashraf Ghani urged the Talibaninfo-icon to declare a ceasefire, as the country countrywide has been struggling with the coronavirus spread.

In response, the Taliban said asking for a ceasefire was neither rational nor convincing as thousands of prisoners were in danger due to the pandemic.
