KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Two Pakistani militants fighting alongside Islamic State terrorists have been detained in eastern Nangarhar province, the army says.

The arrests came during an operation by Afghan Special Forces in the Behsud district of the province, the army’s 201st Selab Corps said on Monday.

A statement from the corps said the Special Forces arrested the two Pakistanis who were fighting for Daesh in the east.

The detainees were identified as Asghar -- alias Zarif Jan -- and Faridullah -- alias Shakir. An AK-47 rifle, 5 cell phones, munitions and Pakistani identity cards were seized from the suspects.
