Over 40 people killed, 73 injured in first 10 days of Ramadan: AIHRC

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Forty-three people were killed and 73 others injured during violent attacks in the first 10 days of Ramadaninfo-icon, the Afghanistaninfo-icon Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) said on Friday.

In a statement the rights body said that violent armed attacks did not decline in the first 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan as was expected by the people of Afghanistan.

Responsibility for the casualties to 68 people claimed by the Tailban, 16 people by government forces and 32 people go unidentified.

According to the AIHRC the harmed caused by roadside blasts, targeted attacks and rocket attacks in Kabul, Ghazni, Logar, Kandahar, Paktia and Helmand provinces.

It is worth mentioning that earlier the UNAMA in its report said 550 people were killed and 1,200 others injured in violence in the past three months.
