'Taliban stage 110 attacks on infrastructure projects in past 6-month'

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday says the Talibaninfo-icon attacked 110 infrastructure and development projects in the past six months, a claim the Taliban rejected.

MoI Spokesperson Tariq Aryan said the Taliban staged these attacks in 14 provinces.

During the period the Taliban attacked 14 schools, six hospitals, 40 bridges and culverts, 15 pylons, five telecommunication towers and destroyed roads in some provinces.

Aryan said the Taliban blown up two bridged in Zabul and Ghorinfo-icon provinces that connected provinces. He said 1,667 civilians have been killed and injured after the US and Taliban signed peace agreement on February 29.

He said 523 civilians were killed and 1,144 others injured in the Taliban attacks. Womeninfo-icon and children were among those killed and injured.

The Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, however, rejected the claim and added civilians had been killed and injured in Afghan security forces and foreign forces airstrikes and ground offensives.
