KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Nearly 790 new COVID-19 cases emerged in different parts of Afghanistaninfo-icon, the Ministry of Public Healthinfo-icon said

Of 1,296 suspects, 787 tested positive for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the Country’s tally to 18,054, the ministry said.

Six COVID-19 deaths and 63 recoveries happened during the last 24 hours, the ministry said, adding 323 positive cases had surfaced in Kabul.

At least 110 cases were reported in Herat, 65 in Kandahar, 54 in Nangarhar, 48 in Badghis, 40 in Khost, 36 in Paktia, 34 in Balkh, 32 in Paktika, 15 in Kunar, 18 in Nimroz, 8 in Takhar, 2 in Bamyan and 1 each in Logar and Parwan.

So far, the ministry said, the coronavirus had claimed 300 lives. It added 1,585 Afghans had recovered from the pandemic to date.
