PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Amid the coronavirus pandemic, more than 280 Pakistanis stranded in Afghanistaninfo-icon have returned home.

A total of 285 Pakistaninfo-icon citizens crossed the Durand Lineinfo-icon at Torkham into their country on Saturday, local officials said.

Swab samples of the returning Pakistanis were taken in Landikotal before they were allowed to go home, a police officer said.

Meanwhile, a doctor at the Landikotal Civil Hospital told Pajhwok Afghan News the returnees were asked to stay at home until the arrival of test results.

Following last week’s relaxation of special operating procedures, the returnees from Afghanistan were not sent to quarantine centres.
