KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The price of Kazakh flour decreased while the rates of other essential items remained stable during the outgoing week in Kabul markets.

Tawab Ghaznawi, a worker of Zam Zam food store in Kabul, told Pajhwok Afghan News the price of a 49 kilograms bag of Kazakh flour decreased from 1,800afs to 1,750afs.

He said the prices of other commodities remained unchanged as a 50-kilogram bag of Pakistani sugar sold for 2,300afs and a 24-kg bag of Pakistani rice accounted for 2,200afs.

A 16-litre bottle of Hayat cooking oil accounted for 1,750afs, one kilogram of Indonesian green tea for 320afs and the same amount of black tea for 350afs.

Mohammad Zaki, owner of a grocery store in Macro Ryan area, said the price of a 49 kilograms bag of Kazakh flour was 1,850afs and a 49-kg sack of Pakistani sugar 2,380afs. Similarly, a 24-kg bag of Pakistaninfo-icon rice sold for 2,500afs, a 16-litre ghee bottle for 1,900afs, one kilogram of Indonesian green tea for 340afs and the same amount of African black tea for 360afs.

Gold rates unchanged

The Gold and Exchange Rates reported the price of one gram of Arabian gold was 3,300afs and the same quantity of the Russian variety 2,600afs.

Fuel price also stable

The Ahmadyar Group of Companies said prices of fuel remained stable as one litre of petrol sold for 35afs and the same quantity of diesel for 38afs.

Mohammad Zarif, a liquefied gas seller in Pul-i-Pach area, said the price of one kilogram of the commodity was 45afs -- same as last week’s rate.

According to the money changers union in Sara-i-Shahzada market, one US dollar accounted for 77.40afs while 1,000 Pakistani rupees sold for 472afs.

Last week, one US dollar was equal to 77.45afs and 1,000 Pakistani rupees to 472afs.
