Turkish Airlines’ Kabul flights set to resume

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Turkish Airlines will resume flights to and from Afghanistaninfo-icon today (Wednesday), the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) says.

After a gap of three months due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Afghanistan has permitted some international airlines to operate flights to and from the country from today.

Special precautions elated to the coronavirus would be observed on all flights, a statement from ACAA said.

The Emirates will resume flights to Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airports on June 25, Thursday, according to the Authority.

The statement added: “All passengers holding visas and residency permits for Turkey, the UAE, European countries and the US can take international flights from tomorrow (today).”

Domestic airlines Ariana and Kam Air have also restarted international flights. The rapid spread of COVID-19 has affected flight operations around the worldinfo-icon.
