ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Ten Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed in the Taliban attack and roadside blast in southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Thursday.
Abdul Jalil Watandost, administrative head of Khashroud district, said the Taliban attacked security forces check-post in the Pusht-e-Hassan locality on Wednesday night.
He said eight ANA soldiers were killed and two others injured in the fire fight. Two Taliban assailants were also injured in the clash, he added.
According to Watandost security forces military tank which was on its way to the fighting scene hit a roadside bomb in which two ANA forces were killed and five others injured.
The Taliban have not spoken about the incident.
Separately, security forces have arrested one persons in connection to smuggling and business or arms. Some weapons and equipment recovered from the arrested person.
