Corruption in Covid-19 fund will not go un-noticed: Ghani

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has warned individuals who committed negligence and corruption in the fund allocated for combating coronavirus would be dealt according to the law, a statement from Presidential palace said on Saturday.

The president stated this during a meeting with Senate Chairman Fazal Hadi Muslimyar and the delegation accompanied him.

Muslimyar shared his suggestions regarding over all security situation, security of highways and transparency in the coronavirus fund with the president.

Senate chairman hailed President Ghani’s efforts in reducing negative social and economic impact resulted by coronavirus and reaffirmed the senate support from national interest, system and government policies and programmes.

 The president directed state ministerin parliamentary affairs organize strategy so that principle on both sides are clearly defined.

He said that country’s ports such as Torkham, Spin Boldak, Ghulam Khan and air-corridors are opened for the export of the country.

Referring to the violence in the country, he said for durable peace and stability in the country the Talibaninfo-icon should reduce violence and intra-Afghan talks shall begin soon.
