KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Nearly a dozen Ugandans, who recently returned home from Afghanistaninfo-icon, have been diagnosed for Covid-19, the healthinfo-icon ministry in Kampala says.

While releasing the results, the ministry said all 11 returnees were under quarantine at the time of testing.  The 11 confirmed cases were among 137 Ugandans returning from Afghanistan.

Most of the returnees were security guards. Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the ministry spokesperson, was quoted as saying by The Observer.

"Most of them have failed to produce negative test certificates, so we resorted to testing them. All Ugandans will be tested now as they enter the country," he added.
