5 civilians killed as Pakistani rockets hit Kunar

ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Five civilians were killed and nine more wounded after Pakistani forces fired rockets into two districts of eastern Kunar province on Wednesday afternoon, an official said.

Abdul Ghani Musamim, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Pakistani rockets hit Nawapas, Kando and Nawai areas of Sarkano district and Khakhi check-posts of Marwara district at around 2:00pm today.

He said five civilians were killed and nine others wounded in the Pakistani shelling.

But provincial Healthinfo-icon Director Dr. Attaullah Safi confirmed receiving eight bodies, including two womeninfo-icon and a child, at the provincial civil hospital and six wounded people from the scene.
