Kankor examination’s 1st phase from Sunday

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The first phase of the university entrance test also known --- Kankor Exam --- would begin on Sunday, the National Kankor Examination Authority (NKEA) said on Wednesday.

NKEA Head Abdul Qadeer Khamosh told reporters here in line with their plan, the four phased Kankor examination would begin in 33 provinces and would be concluded next month.

In the first phase, the examination would take place in Uruzgan, Badghis, Paktika, Panjshir, Daikundi, Zabul, Sar-i-Pul, Ghorinfo-icon, Farah, Kunduz, Kandahar, Kunar, Logar, Nimroz, Nuristan, Nimroz and Maidan Wadak provinces.

He said in the second phase after Eid-ul-Adha, the examination will take place in eight provinces --- Helmand, Ghazni, Paktia, Khost, Kapesa, Bamyan, Laghman and Herat provinces.

The third phase will take place seven days after Eid in Faryab, Jawzjan, Balkh, Parwan and Baghlan provinces, said Khamosh.

In the fourth phase, Nangarhar, Takhar and Badakhshan provinces would be covered.

He said efforts were on to conduct majority of the examinations in the provinces in open area to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

NKEA expected around 210,000 students to take part in the upcoming Kankor examination.
