PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Hundreds of protesters, including womeninfo-icon, in central Logar rallied on Wednesday against the interferences of neighboring countries in Afghanistaninfo-icon’s internal matters.

They asked the neighboring countries specially the Russian Federation to stop meddling in the internal matters of Afghanistan.

Recently, US media reported that Russia provided weapons to the Talibaninfo-icon in Afghanistan and supported the armed group.

The protesters in Pul-i-Alam, Logar’s capital, asked the Afghan government and the Taliban to stop fighting and destroying the country at the behest of the neighboring countries.

Ehsanullah Noorzai, one of the protesters, asked the international community to cut off ties with Russia and stop it from interfering in internal affairs of Afghanistan.

He said peace talks had entered a crucial stage but some regional countries, including Russia, did not want peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Nooria, another protester, said Russia and some other nations always meddled Afghanistan’s internal affairs.

“Security forces have recovered made-in Russian and other nation’s weapons from militants,” she claimed.

A resolution was also passed at the end of the protest rally, asking Russia to stop interfering in internal affairs and allow Afghans to reach an agreement in intra-Afghan talks.
