Afghan, Iranian universities ink cooperation MoU

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on medical cooperation has been signed by Afghan and Iranian universities.

The Khatam al-Nabiyeen University of Afghanistaninfo-icon signed the MoU with the Iranian University of Medical Sciences, a media outlet reported on Tuesday.

According to Mehr News Agency, the MoU -- signed inked by the chancellors -- seeks to promote scientific, educational and research links between the two institutions.

Under the agreement, the two universities will cooperate on holding joint training courses besides scientific, educational, information and research exchanges.

Meetings of academics and exploiting special potentials in medical and paramedical fields are among the important spheres of cooperation.

About 40,000 Afghans are studying in Iranian universities at different levels of educationinfo-icon, particularly in the field of technical engineering.
