KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior Affairs on Monday accused the Talibaninfo-icon militants of causing casualties to dozens of civilians by breaking their ceasefire promise.

On Wednesday, first the Taliban declared a three-day truce in respect to the Eidul Ahah and later the government followed suit.

In a statement, the MoI said the Taliban inflicted casualties on 60 civilians during the 3-day Eid ceasefire.

It added at least 20 individuals were killed and 40 others wounded in the mentioned period by the Taliban.

The Taliban have not yet commented about the government’s claim but they had denied involvement in recent attacks in Nangarhar and Logar provinces.
