JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A district police chief and a battalion commander have been fired and referred to Attorney General Office (AGO) on corruption charges in eastern Laghman province.

Asadullah Dawlatzai, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the police chief for Dawlat Shah district and battalion commander were fired before being referred to AGO.

Dawlatzai did not provide details about corruption charges against the two suspects and said information about them would be shared later.
