Thousands of Balkh students take part in Kankor exam

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): University entry test (Kankor) has started in northern Balkh province which will continue for three days.

Kankor in-charge for Balkh Zone Abdul Ahad Muslim said that 200,000 students will participate in the Kankor examination nation-wide.

He said out of the total applicants, 65,000 would be recruited in the government universities and 35,000 in the private universities.

Muslim said the Kankor examination process was underway nation-wide transparently and without any ethnic or linguistic discrimination.

Balkh Governor Mohammad Ishaq Rahquzar who visited the Kankor examination site hoped that the process would be completed without any issue.

He said total 15,000 students --- 50 percent female student --- have appeared in Kankor test in Mazar-i-Sharif.
