PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Peshawar-based University of Engineering and Technology (UET) offers Afghan students more than 100 reserved seats under different programmes.

UET Voce-Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Ali said this at a meeting with Commissioner of Afghan Refugees for Federal Capital and Azad Jammu and Kashmir Abbas Khan on Tuesday.

They explored the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the near future on joint developmental projects.

Prof, Ali said the UET had been offering more than 100 reserved seats under different programmes to the Afghan students at the university.

A statement issued after the meeting said Abbas Khan paid tribute to the faculty of the Civil Engineering Department and UET efforts for facilitating Afghan students.
