Kapesa gathering demand swift start to intra-Afghan talks

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Some residents of central Kapesa province have demanded a quick start to intra-Afghan talks and said the two sides should stop creating false pre-text.

This was stated during a gathering held in the Hesa-e-Awal district which was attended by some ulemainfo-icon and civil societyinfo-icon activists.

They announced their support to the peace process and asked the two sides to enter ceasefire.

Sumaira, a civil society activist, which participated in the gathering, said the people of Afghanistaninfo-icon were thirsty of peace and said the Talibaninfo-icon and the government should start talks and finalize the process.

“May Allah help protect womeninfo-icon rights provided in the past 18 years be protected during peace talks,” she said.

The gathering passed a resolution asking both sides to enter ceasefire and asked the international community particularly the US, China, Germany, India and Pakistaninfo-icon to help stop bloodshed in Afghanistan.
