PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The chairman of Afghanistaninfo-icon’s High National Council for Peace (HNCP) will be accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in Islamabad, says the National Assembly speaker.

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the Afghan government’s chief peace negotiator, is scheduled to arrive soon in Islamabad at the head of a high-level delegation for talks with Pakistani officials.

Speaking to the state-controlled TV on Saturday, Speaker Asad Qaiser hoped Abdullah’s trip would help strength cooperative relations between the neighbours.

Pakistaninfo-icon was formulating a new visa policy that would help cement ties between Kabulinfo-icon and Islamabad, Qaiser said, underlining the expansion of bilateral trade.

The urged both countries to enhance government-to-government and people-to-people contacts. Pakistan had been playing an important role in restoring peace to Afghanistan, he claimed.
