KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has released 11 Afghan prisoners, an official said on Thursday.

Masoud Azizi, Afghanistaninfo-icon’s consul general in Dubai, said the prisoners’ release happened as a result of their efforts.

They were imprisoned in the Rasul Khyim Prison in the UAE in connection with different crimes, Azizi wrote on his twitter account.

He said that the released inmates would be soon sent to Afghanistan after their documentation work was completed.
