The Taliban kidnapped 11 foreigners, including Turkish engineers who have already been freed, after their helicopter made an emergency landing in the Mangal Pass area of Azra district.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, said in a statement the captive from Kyrgyzstan had been set free as a goodwill gesture and in line with the movement leader's decision.
