KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): An International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) soldier died as a result of a non-battle-related injury in eastern Afghanistaninfo-icon on Friday.

Announcing the death in a brief statement, the alliance said: "The incident is currently under investigation."

In line with its policy, the NATOinfo-icon-led deferred casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.

Mostly American forces are stationed in eastern Afghanistan and they have borne the brunt of casualties in the war against insurgents.

According to iCasualties.org that tracks coalition deaths, 94 foreign troops, including 71 US service members, have been killed in Afghanistan so far during the current year.
