Afghanistan, China vow to expand friendly ties
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan
and China on Wednesday discussed forging better mechanism for combating terrorism and further expanding friendly diplomatic, economic and security relations.
Afghanistan deputy foreign minister for political affairs, Hekmat Khalil Karzai met with State Commissioner for Counter-Terrorism and Security Issues of China, Ching Koping who arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation this evening.
The two sides discussed and exchanged views on training of Afghan diplomats in China, the Trilateral Commission of Afghanistan-China-Pakistan and the Trilateral Commission of Afghanistan-China-India, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They talked about Afghanistan’s preparations for holding the trilateral meeting between foreign ministers of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan in the near future, current regional dynamics and Afghan-Pak relations particularly in the context of APAPPS.
Karzai emphasized on maintaining cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
