Do media actually reflect reality? How mainstream media hides the truth?

It’s been less than a year since Ms Shinkai Karokhail has been appointed the role as the Afghan Ambassador to Canada. Although having such a wonderful role and title, it has accumulated a lot of negativity, mainly caused by a certain group, forcefully trying to change positive view on Ms Karokhail. In several articles that I have come across, there has been a lot of false and made up accusations. For examples, in one article the writer very arrogantly states that Ms Karokhail has bought nothing but chaos, causing the embassy to be very shambolic. But yet this is very invalid as the embassy is far from being a “shamble”. Her Excellency has bought a vast positive spectrum to the embassy, creating a far better environment than before. Yet people are so judgmental and quick to point out someone’s flaws, completely disregards the positive changes they have bought. Unfortunately for Ms Karokhail this is the case.

Media and huge platforms is one of the best pieces of new advanced technology that has been given to the world. With such a vast audience, it’s very quick and easy to throw opinions at the public. However, I think it’s completely out of order when the providers manipulate the public just so the right people can be over thrown. In Ms Karokhail’s case, media is being misused to alter peoples view on her. I believe that there is nothing wrong with giving truthful and honest facts about people, as part of the public we have a right to know the truth about those in power. However, writing a piece of false and dishonest writing is completely wrong.

In the same article a very strong statement was made regarding the staff. It states that the staff noticed that Ms Karokhail only seems to hire Pashtuns. Immediately such a small petty thing has been manipulated into a big controversial idea. Ms Karokhail only believes in good credentials and merit. It’s just a coincidence that most of them are Pashtun. In my previous articles on Ms Karokhail, I talked about how she does truly care about the positive development of Afghanistan. If still in doubt then I suggest you visit the articles

Lastly, on behalf of the bigger Afghan community in the UK, I just want to thank Ms Karokhail for her commitment and hard work as we can all see it paying off for the better! Also, although the Afghan public is struggling who to

believe at this current moment, I suggest them to carry out their own independent research. That way they can come to their own conclusion without having to be spoon feed false ideas on Ms Karokhail.
