GHAZNI (Pajhwok): At least one passenger was killed and 15 others, including children and women, were injured in an overnight bus-tanker collision in Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, an official said on Tuesday.
The Gilan district chief, Mohammad Karim Taraki, told Pajhowk Afhan News the accident took place on the Kabul-Kandahar highway at around 1am Monday night.
At least one passenger was killed and five women were among 15 others wounded when a 404 passenger bus crashed into a tanker. The wounded have been evacuated to hospital; however, eight of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a doctor at the provincial hospital, Noorullah, said they had received 11 injured people from the scene. He said seven of the wounded were in critical condition and might be transferred to Kabul.
