KHOST CITY (PAN): Four policemen were killed and five other people injured on Sunday, in a clash with suicide bombers in the southeastern province of Khost, officials said.
Two suicide bombers stormed traffic police department at 5am in Khost City, the capital of the province, a security official told Pajhwok Afghan News on condition of anonymity.
The traffic police department has three-storey building near the quick reaction police headquarters, department of agriculture (UNAMA) and a checkpoint of border police.
Four dead bodies of police and five injured people were taken to Khost civil hospital, a doctor of the hospital, who did not want to disclose his name, said.
Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said that several suicide bombers forced into quick reaction police headquarters and engaged in the clash with Afghan security forces.
