GHAZNI CITY (PAN): One child was killed and two others were injured in a suicide bombing in the capital of southern Ghazni province on Saturday, officials said.
The suicide attack took place at 12:30pm in the Qala Amir Mohammad Khan area on outskirts of Ghazni City, the deputy police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Col. Muhammad Hussain said the target of the attack was yet to be ascertained.
Of the three children brought to Ghazni Civil Hospital, one succumbed to his wounds, Dr. Ismail Ibrahimzai said. The two others are in stable condition.
“The bomber placed his explosives in an ice-cream cart,” witness Mohammad Khan said. Windowpanes in nearby houses were smashed as a result of the heavy blast.
