ISLAMABAD (PAN): Afghan and Pakistani defence minister have agreed to make joint efforts at securing their common militancy-plagued border.
The agreement came at a meeting between Gen. Bismillah Khan Mohammadi and his Pakistani counterpart Syed Naveed Qamar in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Gen. Mohammadi, who is currently on a five-day visit to Pakistan, appreciated Pakistan’s support and sacrifices in the war on terrorism.
A peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan was in best interest of the entire region, the ministers agreed, with Qamar hoping the Afghan-led peace process would gain momentum in near future.
