SHARAN (PAN): Forty-six school buildings would be constructed during the current year in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Monday.
The buildings would be constructed in the areas where student are studying under tents or in the open air, Governor Mohibullah Samim told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the schools buildings would be erected with financial support from the ministries of education, counternarcotics and finance.
Education Director Kuchai Zazai said the buildings would be constructed at a cost of nearly $11million.
He said there are 328 schools in the province, including 201 primary, 58 middle and 59 high schools. Half of them are without buildings.
