SHARANA (PAN): A bomb blast in front of a school wounded three students in the Mitta Khan district of the southeastern Paktika province on Sunday, an official said.
The governor’s spokesman, Mukhlis Afghan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place inside a shop in front of a school in the district’s bazaar.
He said the blast occurred soon after the school was closed in the afternoon, wounding three students. The injured, aged between 15 and 20 years, are under treatment in a local hospital.
Claiming responsibility for the blast, Taliban’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said six police officials were among the dead and injured. He alleged the students were wounded in police fire after the blast.
