FARAHCITY (PANinfo-icon): Suspected militants attacked a convoy of trucks shipping fuel for international troops in the western province of Farah, killing a driver and setting afire two trucks, an official said on Tuesday.

The attack took place on the Dilaram-Farah highway late on Monday, Bakwa district chief, Khalid, told Pajhwok Afghan News. He said a truck driver injured in the attack died on his way to hospital. Two others drivers were injured and two trucks loaded with supplies destined for NATOinfo-icon and US troops were torched, he said.

The attack came two days after a convoy of trucks carrying logistics supplies for NATO-led troops was attacked by Talibaninfo-icon in Dalaram district in neighbouring Nimroz province. A private guard was killed and two others were injured in the attack that happened on the Kandahar-Herat highway.
