PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): A tribal elder has been killed by unidentified gunmen in the Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Dr. Abdul Wase was shot dead in the Zahidabad area of the district on Tuesday evening, district chief, Abdul Hamid Hamid, told Pajhwok Afghan News. Police have launched an investigation, but no one has been arrested so.
Resident Javed confirmed the incident, saying the gunmen also opened fire at the elder’s house, smashing windowpanes. Wase was an influential tribal elder who did not have personal enmity with anyone, he added.
