The name of former Kunar provincial council head, Mia Hussain Adil was among those disqualified aspirants.

“Anyone wants to know the reasons behind the disqualification of various candidates should refer to Electoral Complaints Commission (ECCinfo-icon) office,” he remarked.

Despite repeated attempts, Pajhwok correspondent in Kunar failed to contact Mia Hassan Adil to know the reason behind his disqualification.

However, four aspirants including former provincial council head of Nuristan province had been removed from contesting the provincial council elections.

Nuristan former provincial council head, Amanullah Inayat said he did not know the reason why he was removed from the preliminary list of candidates.

“I have degrees in Islamic educationinfo-icon and I have no problem in my education” he said, adding that his documents were also cleared at every aspect.

He said the IEC did not provide any satisfactory response despite several attempts to known the reason behind his disqualification.
